My name is Mike Li and I've been building and running this site since March of 2009. This site is always a work in progress. I started this site so I can inform people about all the information out there on protein powder. There really is a lot of different kinds and brands to choose from and having all the information in 1 place will hopefully make it easier for people to get the information there looking for. One day I looked myself in the mirror and was blown away with what I saw. I couldn't believe I allowed myself to get that big. I knew right then and there, if I didn't do anything about it, I was never going to change. In high school and through college I dabbled around with lifting weights. Being young and not really knowing the in and outs about diet/nutrition/exercise, I was really getting nowhere fast. I wasn't taking it serious and pretty much was just wasting my time. Working out and still being overweight, it was time to put an end to that. It wasn’t until about 2007 where I started getting serious about what training regimen I was going to follow. I also read an ebook "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto. This is when I started getting interested in Protein Powder. I started reading all types of information about what is does and how it can benefit you tremendously when taking it with a workout/exercise regimen. Also, I found out how important your diet was in conjunction with getting the proper rest. They are all 3 equal, eat/sleep/train.
At first, when I started working out often, I wasn't seeing the results I wanted. It was almost like, I was putting in all this effort to lose weight and change the way I look, but I was painstakingly slow. I was fed up with the sub par results and started taking protein powder. Within about 2 weeks, I started to see the difference. If you’re not getting enough protein in your diet, no matter what you do, you just won’t get the lean muscle you’re looking for. With my new found glory for protein powder I stuck with it, and the results I got from it were amazing. I was generally wasn't getting enough protein in my diet. Once I started drinking about 2 shakes a day, my results skyrocketed. At my biggest point, I weighed 215 pounds with a ton of body fat. I never liked that picture at all, for reason Im sure you can tell. Now at this point, I recently weigh 190 pounds and still trying to lose my more body fat. Your weight isn't so much of a concern when you're able to lose pure body fat. I think a lot of people get to caught up on how much they actually weigh, and neglect that fact that you only need to worry about how much body fat your losing. Once you start losing body fat, then you'll start looking like the way you want to look. Start concentrating on losing body fat the most and don’t be so hard on yourself if you haven’t lost the "weight" that you wanted. If you have any questions what so ever, don't hesistant to ask.
