Glutacene

GlutaceneGlutaCene (GC) is the first piece of the Double-T Sports Recovery Puzzle. Intense weight training results in an enormous metabolic demand for protein - as much as 300% higher than basal requirements where it concerns structural protein mechanics. Banging iron in the gym as well as other forms of intense training is a catabolic event. Intense training causes a negative nitrogen balance increasing cortisol, adrenaline and glucagon.

This is normal and necessary, but these hormones are indeed catabolic and drive nitrogen to a negative state. The ingestion of branched chain amino acids and glutamine during this high stress environment has been suggested to promote the maintenance of lean muscle.

GlutaceneThis second generation version of GC has been engineered to equip the athlete/bodybuilder with a recovery system predicated on the notion that recovery can be supported by mitigating the degree of trauma muscle experience during training. In other words, it's been suggested that damage to muscle can be modulated through the use of glutamine and BCAA. As a result, recovery time is optimal, but timing of consumption and ratios among constituents are critical.

By directly supplementing glutamine and branched-chain amino acids during intense exercise, both the signal and the amount of skeletal muscle breakdown is optimized, minimizing the amount of micro-trauma experienced. The latter is supported particularly when sipping Glutacene in between sets throughout the 1st half of the workout. Glutamine consumed when training will elevate glutamine plasma concentrations, which has been suggested to prevent the premature release of glutamine from skeletal muscle back into circulation.

Intense exercise can quickly deplete stored glycogen and the liver must synthesize glucose. It performs this function in large share by converting the amino acid, alanine, to glucose. This is another amino acid (along with glutamine) that is very heavily released from the total amino acid pool of exercised muscle tissue.

The inclusion of extremely high concentrations of BCAA has been suggested to promote a glycogen sparing effect. In most cases glycogen concentrations and deposits will not be depleted during exercise. BCAAs may provide an alternate oxidative source of energy to fuel muscles during intense training sessions. With the use of GC you will run out of workout before you run out of glycogen.

Double-T Sports formulators firmly hold that heavy supplementation with both glutamine and BCAA during periods of intense training and muscle stress will will promote an optimal nitrogen balance and support recovery during/after training.*There is an added performance promoting component to this second generation version of GC®. BetaCene™ is comprised of Beta-Alanine and L-Histidine. The two compounds reassemble in muscle to elevate intra-muscular concentrations of Carnosine.

The presence of hydrogen ions cause muscles to become acidic. As pH levels decline during training, an acidic environment becomes prevalent resulting in muscle inability to contract during a given set. The individual can no longer continue to perform repetitions because the burning sensation is overwhelming. BetaCene™ has been formulated to address the onset of this acidic condition responsible for the end of the set. As a result, the individual is able to train much further into the training threshold.

In addition to supporting the body's crucial antioxidant defenses to combat free radical production in muscle during exercise, D-Ribose provides the substance necessary for the formation of ATP. If D-Ribose levels are low ATP can't reformulate from Adenine and Phosphate.* Hence, the inclusion of D-Ribose modulates the overall effects of GlutaCene making it a Super Supplement!
