Peanut Butter Banana Protein Drink

by Ronnie J
(NYC)

- 5 oz cold skim milk (I use organic) I prefer milk over water.

- 1 scoop rich double chocolate whey protein. (or any chocolate flavor you enjoy)

- Mix in the blender for 30 seconds

easy enough, right?

Now for the fun stuff........

- Buy a banana (I use organic) and cut in half the night before and FREEZE it. Freezing the fruit will give you a smoothie like consistency if you like that. I do- and the flavor is rich and awesome.

- 1 tsp FRESH peanut butter or FRESH almond butter. I buy mine at Whole Foods-

- add 2-3 ice cubes

I have a separate coffee grinder that is used for grinding herbs, nuts and yes FIBER ONE! I grind my Fiber One every week for my protein drinks.

so now add one generous tablespoon of Fiber One to the blender.

You do not taste this in the drink after blending and you do not see it either.

- Add one tablespoon of cold pressed organic ground flaxseed. This comes packaged and can be found in most health food stores.

Blend an additional 45 seconds checking that the ice has been broken down. You can feel this when you lift the blender glass.

Note: Flaxseed could add a bit of a nutty flavor to the drink- if you prefer to leave this ingredient out feel free to do so but it goes well with the banana peanut butter flavors.

Very complimentary.
